• Qualified advocate in alternate dispute resolution practices including arbitration, mediation and other non-traditional processes

• Broad experience in both state and federal courts as well as administrative and arbitration forums in matters relating to breach of contract, insurance coverage, misrepresentation and fraud, business disputes, construction process and defects, real estate and landlord issues, property damage, and employment matters

• More than 25 years of experience with a wide variety of insurance issues relating to fixed and mobile property; residential, office and multiple tenant properties; physical plant, manufacturing and distribution equipment in all fifty states, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean

• Broad expertise in analyzing and litigating insurance coverage cases, including the appropriate application of exclusions and limitations; primary, excess and pro-rata coverage issues and priority of payment

• Has served as lead counsel, co-counsel or consultant in claim dispositions totaling more than $300 million in insured property and time element losses

• More than 25 years of experience in disaster recovery, including the minimization of loss; rescue and recreation of damaged business records, data processing and information systems; and the return to normal operations and/or restoration of lost business following a fire, flood or other calamity

• Has served as member of church and other non-profit advisory boards

• Graduate of Michigan State University, with degree in business administration and emphasis on accounting

• Juris Doctor degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, with emphasis in business and land use studies
